Unless the family line is John Segee from Ontario, Canada, then I don't know who you might be talking about. I know a little of the history, but there were different Segee families. The Segee family I know settled in Isabella County, Michigan.

Hello: Yes, I would publish the book. I really believe that ancestors are watching over their relatives and sway their kin people in certain directions. I know that when Judy Jackson-Caldwell brought her mother's picture scrapbooks to me and said, "Maybe you can do something with these because I can't," I knew that Marguerite wanted me to do something with the pictures. The scrapbooks contained the History of Isabella and Mecosta Counties in picture form. That is when I decided to start this website. A voice kept saying, "You have to do something with those pictures." So if you feel that driving force to publish her story, DO IT!!!

This is for the person who is looking for information on the Lukes of Mecosta County. I just talked to my Aunt Pat Sayyer. She said that Thomas Roberts and Jane Luke were her Grandparents. Are you Jake's daughter? You can probably find out more information by going to the Big Rapid's County Seat and looking up more information.

I am a descendent of William Harris and Sarah (Johnson)Harris. My Grandmother was Ernestine Gertrude (Harris) Sanders. I am really impressed with the history of the Old Settlers, but am curious about the American Indian aspect of our heritage. I wasn't able to find much information about that side. It was our understanding that we are of both African American and American Indian ancestry. It has been quite a challenge trying to find the information on the American Indian side. Is it just family folklore or do we descend from American Indians as well?Judging by the photos of Ace Harris, I would assume the "folklore" is probably accurate.
